A major new recording of George Dyson’s music will be released by SOMM Recordings on 20 November 2026.

The programme brings together three striking works: the Violin Concerto, the overture At the Tabard Inn, and the late choral work Hierusalem.

The performers are violinist Charlie Lovell-Jones, soprano Olivia Carrell, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Choir of Merton College, Oxford, conducted by John Andrews.

The release provides another welcome opportunity to hear Dyson beyond the handful of works which have remained in the repertoire, and brings together music from very different periods of his composing life.
