The latest of release of Orchestral Anthems from Merton College, Oxford, is out on Delphian and includes the orchestral version of George Dyson’s Evening Service in D major. The arrangement was made by Douglas Hopkins for St Paul’s Cathedral in 1935 and found in recent years in the library of the Royal College of Music by one of our trustees, Dr Jonathan Clinch. We’re delighted to have supported this recording with a grant and arranged for the score to be published for the first time by Stainer and Bell.
